Let's begin with the Living

presented with the opportunity to dress up your own home has been something i waited for all my life, it runs in the family blood no doubt! but there is a twist to my story, i was moving into a rented home. the whole design your home project had to be approached with a totally different mindset. furniture must be bought based on its ease of disposal and to buy furniture i really like, i have to make sure it will be cost-efficient and convenient to transport it to wherever fate takes us next. and whatever came with the apartment, well you have to live with it guess, like 80s inspired toilet hardware lol!

but anyways, the good thing about this temporary state of living though is the chance for me to do up certain areas of the house in ways which i probably wouldn't do for my own permanent home i.e. zen or mod. in short, there is a lot of room for design experiments!

below are just some snippets of inspiration for the living room i pulled out from my old hard drive. can't believe i can finally put these to some good use ;)

classic dark walls with pops of mod and color

mirrors against the wall

crystal for bling

wall fixtures of different shapes sizes and form

again, i completely swear by classic palettes thus
deciding on something non-experimental like a
grey/white/brown palette

hmm but how dark shall i go?
